When my 24/7 is cocked, the red indicator sits flush with the back of the slide...no problem.
BUT, when I decock it , the indicator goes back into the slide, but if I tilt the gun down and tap it, it will come about halfway out again (looks like about 1/16 of an inch of movement)...I have a new cocking indicator and spring (tiny!). Any ideas?
Could this cause a functional problem later?
pull it apart and check the spring again, if its in there right the indicator can't fall in and out, the spring holds it in and a round in the chamber pushes it out.
My Pro C DS 9mm Ti does the same thing. I've taken it apart twice and put it back together, but still no joy.
It works find when cocked, but when de-cocked it sometimes slides back almost as if it's cocked. If it's in my holster, no problem. Gravity pulls it down.
I might call Taurus and see if they'll send me a new spring and indicator. They sent me a new recoil spring for an OSS I had a while back no problem.
Something just doesn't sound quite right. I would definately give Taurus a call.
