How do I go about drifting my rear sight on my Pro DS? I wanted to ask before I messed something up.

It is in dovetail, but I was wondering if you can loosen the screw too much. I am not sure if the screw has any other purpose.
Funny you should ask that question.

Actually, the Rear Sight on the Pro DS Models (includes the OSS DS Models) serves to hold the Automatic Firing Pin Lock, which is Spring Loaded. Moving the Sight too far left can cause the launch of parts into low Earth Orbit or to "Never-to-be-found" land.

You have roughly about 1/4 inch of travel to the left, and about 3/8 inch to the right. YMMV.

Just be very very mindful of looking for the top part of that Firing Pin Lock when moving those sights.

I shoot well with them Centered, but that's just me.
