First let me say that this is not a complaint and that's why I didn't post there. I have been reluctant to post this because I do believe that everything breaks, it is how its handled is what matters to me. I like to give someone the chance to make it better but I thought I should pass on the info.
I am a Taurus supporter, I don't own a lot of firearms but I've had a Taurus Tracker for 6 years that I think is great. So great I bought a 24/7 Pro in Jan from Buds. This is the first semi-auto I have owned and have not shot very many semi's.
Got that gun and its been great too. Have not had a problem with it. I started thinking I should get me a compact to go with it. So I order me a compact titanium from Jet. Got that gun in and while shooting it I noticed that the trigger didn't have a nice smooth pull on it like my other 24/7, it was sticky and rough. Called CS and at first they hesitated paying for shipping saying the gun was made in 2009 but I told them that it was a new gun, that I just bought it. So they sent a tag and picked it up on their dime on a Friday. The next Friday, 1 week, it was back and the trigger was nice. I was amazed at the turnaround and I was happy.
Took it out shooting and ran about 30 rounds through it when it developed a different problem. I was squeezing the trigger back as hard as I could and it wasn't firing. So I thought I would put the safety on and figure out what to do. I went to put the safety on and the gun went off. I went and set the gun down at first thinking, did that just happen? So I got another mag and started shooting again. After a few rounds the same thing happened. I was squeezing the trigger all the way back and it wasn't going off. I started to push the safety up again and it didn't feel right so stopped and dropped the mag and racked the slide to clear the gun. Got one more mag and the same thing again after a few rounds. Each time when I would dry fire it in between it would work fine. I stopped there and called CS the next day. They picked it up and still have it now. They have sent me an email and a letter saying they had it and it would take anywhere from 2-4 weeks. I happy about that. I was concerned that they would not be able to duplicate the problem and send it back.
I decided to post it to see if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone has a idea of what did happen. I have to admit it has shaken my confidence somewhat but after I get it back and put a few hundred rounds through it the problems will be a distant memory.
