Only shot a hundred .40 rounds today between my son and I. Gun is flawless for which we both have even greater appreciation! I recently bought an XDm 9 w 4.5" barrel. I can shoot the Taurus better even though it's .40 cal. Trigger is better on the Taurus. Perhaps it's simply because I'm used to it. Either way, I can't say enough good things about this gun.
We were shooting at 9 yards according to the guy next to me with his high-tech range finder. Apparently 7 yards is 6 feet closer than i thought.

This is my son's 10 rounds with the 24/7. The 9:00 and 10:00 shots at the edge are not his.
Below is 10 rounds from me, the near-sighted the old guy who jerks the trigger 8)
You are so correct sir! It just keeps getting better too. I bought an XDm-9 a couple days ago. I now have a deeper appreciation for the 24/7 trigger. Don't get me wrong, that XDm is a great gun. I wanted to try on something different. I keep coming back to my main criteria for buying my first gun which was fitting my hands. Indeed it fits!
That boy of mine is a shooter. He just holds it out there, all relaxed and squeezes rounds out like nothing. It's fun to watch. I wonder what I should get next, I mean besides more ammo?
Thank you. I'm learning. There were a lot of couples and whole families out at our range today. It got a little hairy. This guy suddenly decided to walk down-range to retrieve his cardboard box while this poor woman was firing her pistol a few stands over. She about crapped her pants when everybody yelled at her to cease fire. She was clearly rattled by it. Of course it was not her error. Have fun and watch out for the other guy.
