Whats the difference between the 24/7 & the 24/7 pro. any help would be grateful. Birthday present. Looking @ the 9mm. Unless somebody can come up with another option for the same price range.

im not sure on the specifics between the two but you will not find a better gun for <300 dollars, depending on where you buy from. last reports were jet's 269 and buds 297, those are new and the PRO DS models.

I believe that you will find that the 24/7 is a double action only.
the 24/7 Pro is a single action/double action.
the 24/7 pro D/S is a single action/ double action with a decocker.
I would doubt that you would find a new model 24/7 in stock anywhere as this was the first generation weapon.
NOTE: you need to be aware that there ARE Kalifornia complaint 24/7 that are double action and 10 round capacity available, so be aware of this in case you need this weapon by law or in case you don't want this weapon!
I believe these are marked as CA versions but not 100% sure about that.
I believe that the only 5 incher out there currently is a 24/7 D/S OSS.
the all black OSS is the Tactical Model!

Thanks for the help. They look like a fine weapon. I don't want it in ss so that will keep the price down some. I wonder if there's a price difference in barrel lengths. Looking for a 5" in black.
I have the SS version and it is a very fine looking gun. when i bought mine there was about a 80$ difference in the price. i have the 4 in. not sure how the price relates between the 2.

You might pay a bit more for a 5" barreled model. In 9mm, I opted for the 4.2 inch Standard 24/7 Pro for concealment reasons, but I also found it handles a bit quicker. Also, I've chronographed 9mm ammunition between my 24/7 Pro and Taurus PT92 and there is very little velocity difference between the two barrel lengths.

When it came to .45 ACP, I opted for the longer barrel lengthed 24/7 OSS, as the .45 ACP is more barrel length dependant, velocity wise. I would like to collect a standard 4.2 inch barreled model in .45 ACP also.

The 5 inch barreled 24/7 OSS is also made in 9mm and is Brazilian Spec Ops issue. Were I adamant about the 5 inch barreled version, that is what I would buy. Might collect one down the road.

You don't say what caliber you're looking for. There are still deals to be had. You can't really rely on the descriptions given at either Buds or Jet. I have recently bought a 9mm Pro DS from Buds (2010 Manufacture date) and a 9mm Pro DS C Titanium (2009 Manufacture date) from Jet and they both came with 3 dot sights, and were DS models. It didn't say if they were DS's on their website and I could not get anyone to verify that for me from either place before I ordered.

Interesting side note. I orderd the one gun from Jet, came to my FFL from Buds with a Smoking Guns sticker on it. :p

The price on the 9mm is still at the $297.00 sale price, but the .45 is listed at $387.

YES! $297.00 is a great price...as is $269 at Jet Guns (even better)!

Speers Gold Dots LE, Remington Golden Sabers, Remington UMC JHPs and Corbon (all self-defense rounds) work well in mine.

WalMart's Federal FMJs cycle perfectly through my 24/7 pistols (.45s) and my Mil Pro PT111.

Winchester white box and AMI (cheap reloads) fail to eject from time to time... ...so I've put them in the safe, and will only fire them if the SHTF and I have shot up all my good ammo. :D

A 24/7 OSS in 9MM just must be a dream to shoot, can't have any recoil hardly at all, and the accuracy should be good was well.
Never shot a OSS in 9mm , handled a couple and the 40's but never shot them.
MY 24/7c in 9mm will simply lay on target with very little muzzle rise at all and thats a 3.3 inch barrel.
as for ammo all three of my 24/7's just shoot anything really, doesn't matter what manufacture, what bullet style, what power.
