    24/7 OSS DS Sights

First trip to the range awhile back my OSS was shooting slightly to the right. Adjusted the rear sight and all was well. After a thousand rounds or so I really looked at the sights and noticed that the front sight was oh so very slightly shifted to the left and I expect this is why the gun was shooting to the right.
Now the question, I see the hole in the front sight and it appears to be threaded but I really can't say for sure. Is there supposed to be a set screw in the FRONT sight to losen to move it or is it just a whop it with a hammer/punch? If there is a set screw in there it is not apparent at all. The gun shoots fine as it is and I know I can leave it as it is but it just looks wrong when I could recenter things.

BTW, the correct answer is not Glock.

it should have a set hex screw in it.
I don't recall the exact size.
there are several post concerning screw size on the boards if you care to search them.
if you move the front sight to center then of course you will need to move the rear sight again as well.

    Re: 24/7 OSS DS Sights

Thanks for the info. Mine looks to be full of a wax type substance or something. I guess I'll get a needle or something and see if I can get the gunk out..
I know I will need to move the rear sight back. That is what I want. The sights are both off centered slightly and although it shoots to POA it looks out of balance to me.

    Thanks again olfarhors.
I took a pin and rooted out the substance in the front sight hole and there was a teeniny set screw in there. Losened it, slid the front sight overand retightened. Loosened the rear and slid it back over to where both are now centered and all is well.

I've been having the same issue on my OSS. I see that my front sight is off, I too would like to know what size the screw is and if it's metric or not. I did some searches but came up with nothing.

you are welcome K4, glad to help!
OK, now don't hold me to this as i am doing it from memory(and remember that i m old) but i think that its metric and its 1.5 Mm.
someone should be along and verify the right size soon.
hell i just set down with a hex wrench set and tried until one fit , just be sure the fit is real tight!
sometimes these things have loc tite on them and so if unusually hard to get it loose try the old hair dryer on it to heat it up.

    Re: 24/7 OSS DS Sights

A 1.5mm (.059") was too big for mine. An .050" worked, but it felt slightly small. A 1/16 (.0625") was also too big. If you try a .050" be extremely careful. I guess it was LocTite in there but it was yellow like candle wax.

I used an .050 also and got the job done. Now to the range to see how close I came with the move.
