With a little range time you will be happy with your choice!
Well I finally bit the bullet and bought a 24/7. I got a .45acp pro DS. I'm going to give it a good cleaning tomorrow and hopefully shoot it soon. I was torn between a 1911 and OSS, but in the end decided on the standard size for ease of carry. I thought that all the 24/7's came with the straight 8 sights, but mine has 3 dot sights. I hope it shoots as good as it looks and feels.

Congratulations! All of the new 24/7 Pro DS models come with the 3 Dot Sights and a Decocking Safety.
I have a Standard 9mm 24/7 Pro and a .45 24/7 OSS DS and they are great! A Standard .45 24/7 Pro DS is on my "Wants" list. Not that I am at all unhappy with the OSS and it's size. I just want another one!

I really wanted an OSS but it was $100 more. If I would have gotten it through Bud's, The OSS would have been about $40 more, but I let my patience get the best of me and walked out with the Standard. I think I made the right choice, though.
If you don't ind me asking, what did you pay for your 24/7 Pro? I have been looking at 24/7 OSS .40 pistols and I was wondering how the cost of the OSS compared to the Pro model. I found a 24/7 OSS .40 for $439.
It was $369. The OSS was close to $100 more where I bought it. I priced them at probably 1/2 dozen places and had a range from $363 on line up to about $475 at some stores. The cheapest I found an OSS was $409 at Bud's.
Ypu are going to love the 24/7. I went to the range today and had a blast with mine. Only go in about 50 rounds. But i am up to about 300 rounds and all is good so far.
JU, academy sports has the 24/7 OSS for 439, normally around my end of Georgy the 24/7 runs in the 349-379 range, thats what i paid for my two 24/7c in stainless.
If you had ordered from Buds you would have needed a FFL dealer to accept the shipping and that runs from 25-50 bucks around here , so you ended up about the same!
The 24/7 platform in all its different configurations are nice performers usually!

I have the 24/7 45 C DS and its great I love it. With the larger mags it handles real well. With the ten rounders in its got a little bite to it but is manageable. Congrats.
