    Magazine Problem ?

Got my new 24/7 this week. .40 cal

I already ordered extra mags from Midway, so they actually arrived before the gun.

    Damn things don't fit ???

They say that they are 15 round mags for the 24/7. .40 cal.

They are genuine Taurus mags. I don't get it?

One thing I did notice: If you stand the mags up on their bases, the ones that came with the gun lean forward a lot more than the replacement mags. Shouldn't matter really. That's just the shape of the plastic base, I would think.

I did manage to get one into the gun, but it was much harder than it should be. Didn't feel right at all. When I loaded it up with ammo and tried again, I couldn't pull the slide back.

Boxed 'em up, and sent 'em back to Midway. Enough tinkering, they just ain't right.

How to I prevent this from happening again? I hate to order stuff, and pay the shipping, plus the return shipping because they aren't correct.

I ordered my extra mags from Taurus. The prices are pretty much all the same from what I saw. I got 4 mags total.

They are 39 bucks from Taurus. Midway has them on sale for 30.

But then again, what good is that if they don't fit. BUT..They are genuine Taurus mags

I dunno. Maybe I'll call Taurus, and ask them what the problem could have been.

Try CDNN. They have them, regular price, $31.99.

You may have just gotten some bad mags, or maybe they were mislabeled at the factory.

From what you are saying it sounds as if they are for a different model 40. Did you check what was written on the edge of the mag. It states what gun and caliber it is for. I do not know if the 24/7 OSS uses a different mag or not.

    Re: Magazine Problem ?

Just got off phone with Taurus.

The guy said that the mags should have fit. No changes were made to the 24/7 recently, so mine should accept the mags.

He said they most likely the wrong ones.

Anyway, I'm gonna order some from CDNN.

Probably next week. I just blew a whole bunch of money on reloading supplies, and other what-nots.

Just received 2 mags from CDNN.

They work perfectly The ones I got from Midway, had to have been mislabeled.

Thanks for the tip dcphoto The price was good, they had a special on shipping, and sent me a free pack of those orange target dots. I'm happy :P
