Looks just like my 45. When I got mine some idiot sold another gun with my serial number on the box with it. So I got a different box. That does not mach my gun.
Other then that it works fine. Great gun, I hope yours turns out ok too.
I bought my first Taurus in November 2009. Did I purchase a looser? When I put the serial number in the box on Taurus's web site, it shows as 24/7-40SSC-15 made in 2009. This is not in the 2009 catalog. Shows discontinued in 2010 catalog, and stated that this model has Heinie sights. But I have 3 dots?
I feel like I went and bought a Pontiac or Oldsmobile for full price when it was so unpopular they had quit making them!

Mine does shoot very well, I carry it as my main CCW. I picked it over the Mil Pro because of the Ribber grip. I was going to purchase extra 11 round mags for it, but they are no longer listed on the Taurus web site. I guess Oldsmobile and Plymouth parts are hard to find also! I am starting to think I f***ed up buying a Taurus.
I guess I don't really understand the problem?
If you have had the weapon since 2009 certainly you have fired it?
and if it functions well then why do you really care if it is no longer available?
did you want to buy another one?
I have 2 -24/7c one in 45 and one in 9mm, the 9mm has the ribber grip which i really like, the 45 does not.
I do not think the ribber grip is made any longer on any taurus.
I am not cetain but think that there are several other Taurus magazines that will fit in your weapon.
additonally both Heinie and Novak makes three dot sights.

I got one just like yours, and I like it. It took a while to get used to the trigger but this past weekend I put 10 rounds in a silver dollar sized hole at ten yards. I have about three hundred rounds downrange. I for one don't think you got short changed. If you can shoot the gun well, great. If you don't like it at all, that is a different matter. It will defend your life and is a good carry piece. I paid about 370 new for mine, and so far it is worth every penny.
Good luck

You have a 2nd gen PT 24/7 PRO C DS. They have NOT been discontinued. The 2010 (3rd gen) does not have rubber grips and has 3 dot novak sights, not heinie's. I'd hang on to it. The .40 and .45 in this specific model fly off the shelves.
As long as the serial number on the gun's right, there shouldn't be a problem. I got one of those, and I love it! the only difference is I have blued, instead of duotone.... That looks good too , by the way.

The 2010 catalog shows discontinued. The Taurus web site HAD magazines listed back when I purchased it, but I did not have my CCW permit yet. I was going to get two extra standard (low capacity) mags, but they no longer show them so I can not even get the proper part number to check other outlets to see if they have them on clearence?
I do like to shoot this gun and it has fed every type of hollow point I've tried. I don't like the idea of not having extra mags with me and the extended mag is too large for my needs.
I promise...your gun is NOT being discontinued. These models are selling like hotcakes, especially in the larger calibers. That catalog is a 'what's new'. If you're going off of the fact that there just wasn't a pic of your gun in that catalog, then the entire 1911 series would be considered discontinued as well. If I'm all wet here and you actually saw something that was in print that corroborates what you're telling us, let us know and I'll be happy to have a crow sandwich.Originally Posted by MillerMonteSS
Regarding the mags...
If you have a PT 24 / 7 Pro C DS in .40 S&W, the mag's are still on the website.

My 3rd Gen 45 Compact has 3 dot sights. It was one more reason I bought it. If it had come with the straight 8 sights, I may have bought something else. I guess I'm kinda old school, Kelly.
