.40 cal 24/7 hand grip replacement

I've searched everywhere I can think of and the closest I could find for a fit was at Hogue but that had an air pocket in the rear between the thumb and finger as well as having to be trimmed. Is there a place I can buy a replacement grip that fits? Or can one be made for my gun?

If it's the same one as mine, the "Ribber" grips deteriorated a long time ago. What worked for me was the slip-on Hogue rubber grip with finger grooves. After a while, you'll like them much better in lieu of the originals...hopefully.
I'll give you to the count of three to get off my property...one, two, BANG!

I had the same trouble with a 'Ribber' too. I replaced it with a Limb Saver. I bought it from Amazon for $7-8. It's thick along the back strap and works real well.

Limbsaver worked for me until the oil from my skin got to it and
    it stretched.

I had an old bicycle tube I cut a piece off of and slid it on to the grip.
It has held up a LOT longer than the Limbsaver. Four dollar tire tube
at Wal-Mart and should have grips for life. Mine is a 26x1-1/4.

Size: 914.4 KBThank you, Panda. For some odd reason, there was a bulging gap in the rear between the thumb and pointer finger as you can see so the Hogue didn't work for my .40 24/7 Pro CDS. I tried cutting it and gluing it back together at the palm but silicone didn't work. Maybe another type of glue? Any other help or advice will be great.

Thanks dwhite, LOL, but if it works as it looks like it does so be it. I was trying to get mine back to somewhat more of an original resellable condition. I have a picture on the next post if you have any other ideas.

Yeah, I tried to get it to look more 'stock" too. After the Limbsaver failure
I decided to just go simple. Now that this is a recall gun selling it will be
    problematic anyway.

The "ribber" grip was a pretty poor idea. Taurus obviously didn't do much
if any durability testing before releasing it.

If that grip was neoprene I don't think there is much chance of gluing it
at all. Just one of those plastics.

I didn't realize that they made that grip on anything except the 9 MM actually.
IT was another of the great thoughts that seemed good at the time of presentation but really didn't work out to well.
I think a plexi-glass side plate on a 24/7 would have been a great idea as well, but who knows?------------

    Thanks dwite.
The more replies I hear the more I'm inclined to agree with you on the inner tube idea.

Yeh, olfarhors, I thought it was weird that the ribbed section would be on the palm not the fingers as Taurus designed it. Why would the fingers need any shock absorbing? LOL. like dwite inferred, It wasn't a deep thought thing for Taurus. I'm thinking of doing his inner tube idea unless I hear of something better.
